Iron Maiden

In this episode we will go back to a time before the songs of Anglo Saxons and Vikings, Alexander the Great and Darius III or Frank Herbert’s Dune. Ace pilots, tail gunners, commandos and submariners. 

We’re going back before all that to the middle of the punk explosion. Playing the toughest East London pubs, Iron Maiden had to work blue.  

The songs were about sex pests, sex workers, spending the night in jail and the Opera.

According to legend, Steve Harris formed Iron Maiden on Christmas Day 1975 and that is where our story will begin.
